Tony, got it. drop bars allow for options. I am sliding the Zizzo into a very narrow passage in this homemade airplane to the baggage area. I need to keep everything as compact as possible. 14 degree seat post stand works better when the seat post in extended as far as possible. I will wring this config out tomorrow. hopefully, 75 miles. Understood, Steve! You have some tight tolerances to take into consideration. ;-) I am curious about the end of the seatpost. Is that something you purchased or made (3d printed)?? It looks like a great idea!
Hey Steve!Nice mods! Here is something to consider: When I changed my bars to road style "drop bars," fold the bike became an issue. The solution I used was to get a stem that folds opposite the stock ZiZZO Stem (in this case the stock stem folds to the left. You can find one that folds to the right.) The advantage of folding to the left is that the folded halves of the frame help to keep the stem from flopping around when carrying the folded bike. When the stem folds to the right, you can more handlebar and "deck" options (aero bars, etc) BUT the stem will be "outside" and should be secured. Tony

Tony, I can somewhat understand the opposite side fold but not entirely. please post a photo. also, I upped the front chainring to 56T. planning for a 75 mile ride on Thursday to check everything. for 56T I used 114 chain links. Steve

Hey SteveTake a look at the image below of the Brompton. Note how the stem is "outside" whereas on your stock ZiZZO the stem would be on the "inside" (between the two halves of the folded frame). Folding to the RIGHT may allow for wider/different handlebars BUT can allow the stem to "flop" around, so make sure to secure it! ;-) With regards to the chainring and adding chain links: YES! Absolutely needed when going to a bigger chainring to save wear and tear on your drivetrain! I upped mine to a 58T and added some links to make it feel more like my road bike ;-)Let me know if you have any questions!Tony
